2007 XB360 Holiday Roundup
So, this was a blockbuster season for the XBox 360. And I’ve played all the high profile games that came out except for Mass Effect, so let me break down my opinions for you. The games I’ve played through this season are Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Halo 3, Bioshock, Rock Band, Assassin’s Creed, The Orange Box.
Here are my rankings.
Single Player:
- Bioshock – Great story, game play, and enviroment.
- Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare – Intense game play.
- The Orange Box (HL2, HL2 ep1, HL2 ep2, Portal) – Tons of value, unique game play (Portal), great story (HL2).
- Rock Band – Awesome game play, engrossing, super fun.
- Halo 3 – Fun mindless action.
- Assassin’s Creed – Great action if a bit repetitive, good story.
Multiplayer (XBLive)
- Halo 3 – Tons of players, great fights, fun with friends, fantastic matchmaking system, ranking, awesome co-op.
- Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare – Great team system, fun in game rewards for doing well.
- The Orange Box (Team Fortress 2) – Unique team play, not enough players on XBox 360 version.
*Rock Band not included as I never played it online.
Multiplayer (Local Console)
- Rock Band – Completely engrossing experiences, transcends the living room.
- Halo 3 – Completely awesome co-op. 4 player split screen works great.
